In 20+ years Chris Mileski has accomplished more on the front of human performance than most could even think possible. He has used passion and tenacity to excel in all aspects of health, wellness, and sports performance as he’s travelled the globe coaching some of the world’s greatest athletes. His cutting edge, detail oriented and individualized programs make him not only the ideal fitness professional, but have also allowed him to form lasting and personable bonds.
Chris’ diverse background speaks volumes for his expertise, and has afforded him the opportunity to gain experiences that continually enhance his abilities. Beginning in 1985 as a United States Marine Corps Communication and Logistics Commander, Chris earned among others the Navy Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Southwest Asia Service Medal. This time in his life is a glowing testament to his dedication, discipline, and leadership qualities.
After earning his degree at the University of Arizona, Chris continued his rise to prominence at Gold Medal Rehab and Fitness working as an exercise physiologist influencing the likes of Olympic track legends Jackie Joyner-Kersee and Gail Devers as well as NFL Hall of Famers Jerome Bettis, Marshall Faulk, and more. While most would be satisfied with this prestigious position, Chris continued to seek more, working with International Management Group (IMG) as a Sports Performance and Strength and Conditioning Consultant. Chris gained valuable experience traveling with and training tennis legends Monica Seles, Lindsey Davenport and James Blake.
Chris’ passion and visionary ideas later led him to a position on the Board of Directors for the St. Louis Sports Commission and similarly as Vice President of the Missouri Bicycle Racing Association. Controlling logistics and managing major sporting events in the greater St. Louis area, Chris didn’t know it yet, but he was demonstrating crucial skills that will be utilized now as he strategizes the launch of the Missouri NICA league just shy of a decade after.
Moving on from Gold Medal, Chris continued to impress as he worked as CEO and Director of Exercise Physiology & Sports Performance at the company he co-created, Sports Enhancement Group. At SEG, Chris personally coached other noteworthy athletes such as Isaac Bruce, Aeneas Williams, Ryan Howard, and Mike Matheny along with providing performance consulting to numerous professional teams including the St. Louis Blues, Tampa Bay Lightning and Atlanta Braves.
It’s unbelievable to think that this list of accomplishments is simply the path that led Chris to find his true calling. A resume that defines the epitome of success for most is just Chris’ background story. In 2004, Chris founded Off The Front Performance which was the first model of his endurance coaching prowess coming to life. OTF provided the opportunity to coach road cyclists, mountain bike athletes, cyclocross racers, BMX athletes, runners as well as Olympic and Ironman Triathletes. Not to mention Chris served seven years as Program Director and Head Coach of the nationally-ranked, division I cycling team at Lindenwood University.
